What it measures

A fuller picture of cognitive ability.

The assessment explores five areas described on Inside Brain’s original test page. Together, they offer a broader view of reasoning and learning than an overall result alone. Your responses provide a starting point for understanding patterns across different kinds of tasks.

01

Innate Intelligence

Explore fluid reasoning: approaching an unfamiliar problem, noticing a pattern, and trying a solution. This label describes a focus of the assessment; it is not a fixed limit on your potential.

02

Working Memory

Consider how you hold information in mind and work with it in real time, such as remembering a sequence while deciding what to do next.

03

Knowledge

Explore the understanding you have acquired through learning and experience. This area looks at information you can draw on when making sense of a question.

04

Visual–Spatial Processing

Work with visual relationships, shapes, and spatial information. Tasks explore how you interpret a pattern, mentally rotate an object, or reason about how parts fit together.

05

Mathematical Intelligence

Explore structured reasoning, numerical thinking, and patterns. This is the mathematical domain named on the original page, connecting quantities and relationships with problem solving.

What’s in your report

See the thinking behind your result.

Basic includes an IQ overview and main score analysis. Standard adds cognitive domains and the intelligence spectrum. Premium includes the full analysis, career advice, and academic recommendations. Choose the report depth that supports your goals.

01

A clear overview

Read the main result alongside an explanation of what it represents.

02

More context with Standard

Explore domain explanations, innate intelligence, working memory, and the intelligence spectrum.

03

Further direction with Premium

Connect the fuller analysis with career and academic recommendations.

Read your profile alongside your learning and circumstances. Domain differences can help frame questions for an educator or professional; they do not establish a diagnosis. The example illustrates presentation, with sections dependent on your tier.

Common questions.

Is this an official Stanford–Binet Fifth Edition (SB5) administration?

No. This is an independent online assessment based on the Stanford–Binet Fifth Edition (SB5) framework and designed for personal use. It explores five broad cognitive areas with explanations written for a general reader, but it is not the published clinical SB5 instrument and is not designed to diagnose. A result completed at home is not formal evidence. A qualified specialist may supervise this assessment and provide professional interpretation or documentation within their scope. Confirm in advance whether the resulting report meets the receiving organization’s requirements.

How long does it take to get my results?

Results are generated immediately after you complete the assessment. The report content follows the option you choose: Basic provides the IQ overview and main analysis; Standard adds domain detail and the intelligence spectrum; Premium includes further analysis, career advice, and academic recommendations.

Is this a proctored exam?

No. You complete this online assessment yourself, following the instructions on screen. Allow 30–60 minutes in a quiet setting with a stable internet connection. The experience is intended for personal exploration and should not be used for official diagnostic or clinical purposes.

Can I take the test more than once?

The original site allows retakes and recommends leaving at least three months between attempts to reduce familiarity with the questions. A repeat result should be interpreted with that context in mind. Report access is included in your purchase; it does not by itself promise unlimited paid attempts.

What do I need to prepare?

No special materials are needed. Find a quiet, distraction-free place and allow 30–60 uninterrupted minutes with a stable internet connection. Read the instructions carefully, give each task your attention, and use the sample questions to become familiar with the presentation before choosing the full assessment.
